HTMi Mission: Come as a student, leave as a manager!

Over the next decade, the international hotel and tourism industry is forecast to maintain its position as the world’s largest employer and the world’s largest provider of management positions. HTMi's role is to prepare students for a management career in this, the most exciting industry today. HTMi is supported by a world-wide network of international hotel companies, whose representatives regularly visit HTMi to recruit on campus. HTMi graduates can be found in the leading hotel companies world-wide.

To allow our students to research, study and train in different aspects of the hotel and tourism industry, HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute has four ‘Centers for Excellence’. They are: The School of International Hotel and Tourism Management The International Hospitality Research Centre The International Centre for Events Management Training The Centre for Culinary Management. Our teaching faculty are all highly qualified and are fully dedicated to our mission of preparing all students for management positions in the hotel and tourism industry, ranging from trainee managers, to middle mangers to senior managers.

Switzerland has become famous for hospitality education. The first major hotel school in the world was opened in Lausanne in the early 1900s. Since then Switzerland has had a high reputation for hotel and tourism education and training and there is a large demand from international students. The needs of these foreign students are addressed by offering courses in English for aspirant managers. HTMI fulfills these needs.

What We Offer

High-quality Education, Training and Paid Work Internships in Switzerland

Students gain Swiss-style diplomas for education and for training, followed by a Bachelor or MBA degree from universities with a long-standing tradition for excellence in degree-level education, all taught in English. The Bachelor Degree is awarded by the University of Ulster and the MBA Degree is awarded by Queen Margaret University. HTMi is supported by a world-wide support network of offices and international hotel companies. To assist us with our mission, each semester, international hotel companies visit us to recruit on campus. Our graduates can be found in the leading hotel companies world-wide.

HTMi Focus

HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute prepares students for a management career in the global hospitality industry. Campus Life

If you join us you will find that we are one big international family. Students come from all different parts of world to join us and so we do everything possible to make HTMi their second home. We have a very student - centred culture and are a lot that you, not only get a great education, but also that you are happy at HTMi.

Students have a wide access to sporting facilities including on-campus tennis, swimming, basketball, fitness center and more. Recreation facilities include satellite TV, cinema room, bar, disco, ping pong, billiards, internet, wireless throughout the campus and many student events are organized such as, Miss HTMi and much more!
